When searching for a photographer, Awna wasn’t going to look too far. We’ve done a lot of shoots together and I’m a little bit biased about how beautiful she is since she’s my niece. If there is anything you should know by now, dear reader, its that I love a good love story. We knew that we wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary. Something that wasn’t a “normal” engagement session so we started planning what a beautiful and epic sort of vision. I knew we wanted a little bit of a mix. I had shot at Pilot Mountain before so I knew that it would be an amazing option. We ventured to the Arts District of Winston-Salem, NC and then ended the session with a beautiful sunset on top of Pilot Mountain.
Let me tell you guys a little secret though—-it was COLD. And by cold, I mean, teeth-chattering, take-your-breath-away cold. I’m going to be bold enough to say though, you can’t tell it by the images produced. Awna was brrrr-ing so much and Grant never hesitated to try to warm her up in between shutter clicks.
Awna and Grant are a real life love story about how young love still exists. Soon enough, I’ll be capturing Awna walking down the aisle to her Grant and am so excited to be there! Their wedding will be taking place at Vintage Oaks Farm later this year and will be filled with Hidden Mickeys and splashes of both of their personalities.
