Fun story: The Soto’s actually responded to my very first ever model call. I had a new camera years ago and thought *hmm, maybe I’d like to pursue photography?* And for some zany reason, they believed in me enough to get their two girls dolled up and met me for a session at a local park. I am so thankful for them and their faith in me, even back in the day. My journey has come a LONG way since then with education and experience and to know they believed in me even back then means so much. Being a photographer in the piedmont, I work a lot in Greensboro–but knew exactly where we should go for this session.
Emily runs a lifestyle and fashion blog, and is forever rocking the most adorable styles and really, her whole family usually looks like they came straight out of a magazine. So when we decided to do a session, I had high expectations.
They did not come to play, you guys. Always on point. Always.
We decided on The Hubbard House in Asheboro. It is such a beautiful location! The pines growing gave us such a homey and cozy feeling for our session and the grounds were beautiful with trees blooming. Inside is always gorgeous and inviting, including vintage elements that I cannot wait to shoot when I head back there soon. I cannot say enough about the generosity of the owners, always being so helpful and ready to offer suggestions and work closely together.
Yall wanna know a secret? It was actually sleeting this day, literally right before our session started. You guys—so ugly. But we had so many laughs though and stayed warm. I’m so thankful for families like this, strong, encouraging and fun. Thank you for letting me capture some of your preciousness, Soto’s! 🙂
